Toshiba e-studio 2500c lcd consule dead

Hello,
I have a toshiba estudio 2500c with a dead consule. No lights. No hard button response. I just changed the hdd and firmware. everything worked fine for several days. then tested it just piror to shippinga and the consule is dead. all fuses are good. holding down 08 and turning on power, no beep. took consule apart and checked connections. reassebled. same thing. Any ideas?

Have you checked to see if your gettin power to the lcd? When you turn the machine on does it start up (doing self checks etc) or do nothing at all?

the large power connector has 5.5v. the small one has 3.3v. the hard drive spins up. the usbs have power. the engine does not appear to be starting up. no fuser noise.
