e-4520c The things I get stuck with

Firstly, I want to say I am NOT an IT guru.

Right, I've been trying to set up fax forwarding to email for a customer who has somehow lost their settings after they shifted the copier. I have managed to get the scan to email function working, which I was told is the trickier part of the procedure (starting to doubt this comment). I just can not get the machine to successfully forward the fax to the fax email account. Keeps erroring with "2550" which the manual says is authentication issues, however I can scan directly to the same fax email address without any issues.

Surely it is a setting I have missed or messed up, but with my lack of experience, I'm up the creek without a paddle so to speak.

Any suggestions would be hugely welcome and appreciated.

    Cheers all.

The only one that I know could help is Mr. Spock of this forum.

Try copying the From Address and From Name that you put into the Email setting into the Internet fax setting (next to email)

What does the Scan Log say for Email? What is the Mode & Status? As per the previous response make sure the Email & iFax tab are completed identical for the From Address/ From Name.
