    Cant remove drums on 2500c

I have a Toshiba 2500c that I can't get the drums out of. I have 2 of these machines, on one the drums slide out effortlessly as they should, but on the other the drums are stuck in there and it has a C390 code. I have pretty much disassembled this thing and can't see what is holding the drums in. When I turn the transfer unit release lever everything looks like it is working......any ideas?

We used to screw the units in to the frame of the machine to give them a better earth. Advice from Toshiba which would help with dev migration and drum damage.

May not be right but some of our guys have missed it.
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

Are the screws that you used visible? I see a couple of screws but removing them isn't doing anything.

I cant remember which exactly. On the plastic at the front of each unit, remove the screws there. I am sure it was the top right one we used to screw through to the frame.

Thank you so much, that was it. I was originally getting a C390 and now that I removed the drum I can see that the needle electrode on the blue unit is just hanging loose. I see how to restring the front terminal but I cant see how the electrode is connected on the rear, I'm afraid a piece may be broken. I have the manual but it isn't showing a very clear image of the rear connection......do you have any suggestions.

Its really common on these for the small plastic peg on the rear end block (p/n6LE23626000) to break off so there is nowhere to hang the electrode from. Pays to keep a few in ya kit spare.

Your welcome. Just a tip for changing those needle elctrodes (and the grids as they are a pain to). When you remove and fit them unloosen the front end block screw by about 1/2-1 turn. Will give you some slack, I have not broke one since.

I spun my wheels on those screws a while ago and loosening the screws have saved me a lot of end blocks. In the past in the past when I cleaned the charge units I would have to replace at least one of them. Since seeing this tip a few months ago
