    Removal of Output trays/Finisher 351c

How hard would it be to move a finisher from one 351c to another? Would I need to worry about settings in the firmware on the unit that the items are being removed from?

Remove finisher, bridge unit and ipc pwb from logic. Install on other machine. Make sure machines are off before removing or installing. Also you may want to swap covers for safety reasons (if the one that is receiving has never had a finisher before).

Thanks Spock. Does the new unit need to have any initialization done? Maybe those instructions are in the service manual, which I have.

Only if going to or from the mj-1101. Otherwise they are plug and pray!

Sorry for the revive of this older thread....

I have removed the finisher from one unit and have moved it to another and it is not showing up, anyone know what else needs to be done in order for the unit to see the out put trays/stapler?

          Thanks!

I went yesterday to grab the IPC unit and there is nothing on the main pcb board. I never checked to see if the finisher even worked on that unit before I removed it. Attached is a snap of the pcb. there were some pins in the top right that the pictures does not show, but nothing was connected.snap_pcb.jpg

Try 08-1912-1 to initialize the Finisher.
