    [Electrical] e-studio2040C

    Hi guys
weve just been introduced to Tosh kit just recently ,so on learning curve.
We have a customer with above product and it appears once it has gone into powersave it takes an age
to print when job is sent to it .

A/ Can you advise what code to change to have permanently on and how to get in to it ...no manuals or course done I'm afraid!

B/ Generally speaking we finding these products very slow to print compared with
Ricoh,is that something we have to live with ,or are there some suggestions out there.

    Many Thanks in advance

you can change the power save times, but for slow printing its because these are very new models and new firmware is being released pretty much every month, so make sure the firmware and print drivers are up to date.

08 - 9111 and 9112 are the energy saver codes, we normally set 9111 to 0 (off) and 9112 to 9 (1 hour)

    Cheers Cam

You can still use the codes as usual.
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

Re slow printing, have you configured the Port properly?

Change Protocol from RAW to LPR.

Print Queue Name must be print in lower case.

SNMP Status & LPR Byte counting must be turned off.

Documents typical will RIP and print fairly fast.

You could also turn off Super-sleep mode in Topaccess.

Has the copier been upgraded to Ver 2000 firmware?

              08-9900 Displays firmware level.
