    [Misc] not printing but photocopying e167

    hi all,
    i have Estudio e167 at office. it can take photocopy but when prinitng only part of the first line is printed in the middle of paper and nothing else.
    any one has any idea

    the machine has USB and Network connectivity. we tried changing the Network card but still the same result

    Please help

      Are you printing directly via PC or through a server?
      Are you using the correct driver?
      Have you upgraded the firmware?
      Are the port setting correct?
      Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the restraints

          directly from PC (tried a laptop also)
          Yes i am using correct driver (worked 1 hour before fine) using windows and LInux (both show same problem)
          No i haven't upgraded the firmware
          the port settings are correct

          i removed the network card and tried using the in-built USB
          at that time Linux didnot detect the printer
          in windows it detected but the driver was not installing (here too i tried on a laptop too) showed error
          please advice

                  Double check u are using the correct driver. Don't use a universal driver. U need the e-167 driver for ur operating system.

                      we have another e-167 i tried using that. it works fine.
                      the printer does not print
                      1. via Network
                      2. USB
                      3. On board USB with network card removed.

                      print comes as single line in the middle (first line on the page)

                      now when photocopying
                      1. only normal poying is done
                      2. no duplex
                      3. no job build
                      4. no id card etc
                      when we access the advanced features the machine just reboots.

                      i think this is a firmware issue.. kindly help me to rewrite the firmware

                          sorry for late update was very busy @ work

                          later on the printer behaved very strangely, we were not able to access advanced features the system just rebooted when tried to access duplex, job build etc.
                          the service people said that it is not a firmware issue, luckily we had AMC, so they replaced the PCB. now it is working OK.
