    estudio 3530c hdd replacement

I need to know what is involved with replacing the HDD in a 3530c. I understand it is a 160gb SATA but I am not certain if it needs to be formatted a certain way. Can I just put a generic HDD in and power it up and be good to go or is there more to it than that?
    Thanks

Yes, you can use that generic Hard Drive. But the new drive must be formatted and Firmware uploaded in order for the copier to work again.
If the copier is operational now, backup everything, then replace.
