toshiba etudio 452 light copies

hello guys can you help me about my problem of the toshiba estudio 452 having a light copies. I already replace the developer and make calibration using 05 200 and the value 2.35% it works only a few weeks but the light copies back again, but when i put manually a toner into the developing unit the copies become ok. so guys what do you think? what should i do? please sir i need your help all your reply would be appreciated, godbless and thank you very much in advance... wait for all your reply..

There are a few things you can check. Are the erase lamps plugged in (some one changed a toner unit and got me with this), the drum earth (drum shaft) is clean and earthed well, the developer unit is contacting properly (the plate underneath needs to contact the leaf plate on the machine), are the optics clean, the transfer/sep unit cleaned and new wires (same with the charge unit and a new grid) and if there is anything else I have missed some one will post.

Just to add on to this, make sure you reset the things you change in pm support mode as the machine adjusts itself to compensate for the wear and tear of parts.

Could also be bad developer, even though you have replaced it already. I have had a few 452 do this after around 3-5K. Fresh dev has solved it for me every time.

Seems that the toner not entering the developer tank... It might be the toner drive problem.

thnk you guys for all your advice and help i really appreciated, the machine is already working fine, i try again to calibrate the developer using 05/200 and manually adjust the percentage about 3.00% somting like that, then press enter and off /on the machine and make a copy then the machine goes to adding toner after it finish adding toner the copies become dark and bold. but before i performed tha clibration i follow your advices, clean all connections, sensors, drum unit, developing sensor, and transfer unit.. then do the calibration... thank you guys for all the helps.. more power to all of you and godblesss......

Increase the toner value in the developer tank by 0-5/201, and copy a one copy, the m/c draw a few toner (adding toner). Also, increase the scanner mode(text, text/photo) 0-0/512,514and 515.

I am sure it is usually set around 2.4-2.5. Might be still and underlying problem but it if gets you going for now.

I have found before that because these developer units leak toner through the seals and bushings alot that under the tray that the developer sits on sometimes will be full of toner and developerand messes with the contact spring plate. Usually when I have the drum and developer out I will take the one screw out and lift the front of the tray up and see if it needs to be vacumed out.

good work, conect directly the core of magnet roll to the metal coil of the grounded machine placed under the developer tank, not to falls down developer with the wasted toner
