You can't go from the original software version to latest ver (355 I think). You have to do it in steps..ver 100 to ver 200, then 200 to ver 300, then up to latest. The only way around this is to use the recovery jigs. They are programmed for at least ver 300, but you must finish with a regular USB update to install HDD data. This is all based on the assumption that your MFP does not have a problem. Emujo

i guess u are right. but where can i get the version 100 firmware. and the machine didnt come with recovery jigs. if u know of any resources please help

If you ( or your shop) is trained on this product, all the firmware versions are available on the FYI website. The jigs can be ordered through Toshiba parts. Otherwise, you will have to get a qualified toshiba tech out there. Emujo

thanks alot for all your replies. however where i live we get these machines second hand since we cant afford the new and most times we have to do the service ourselves. getting a toshiba technician or service representative is hard and if u do they are very expensive we cant afford them. however i wont give up i will try my best best till this machine up and going. mosten times it has been hard but we have managed to get them back online and the same thing will apply here we will do all we can.anyway thanks for ll tthe advice you have given

I can't help with the jigs, (I have a full set for all the Ebridge 2-3 products, but they don't leave my trunk), but if you are willing to pay for the firmare, post it and ensure you state what country you are in (as the firmware is different from area to area) and someone will probably take you up on the offer. Remember, you will need to know what version you are at to start with. Emujo
