[Misc] E-Studio 450 Cannot clear "Replace Used Toner" message

I have replaced the Waste Container with a new Toshiba OEM unit and also have replaced the Waste Toner Full Sensor (6LE78189000) with no success of clearing the "Replace Used Toner" message. There is a small amount of used toner flowing into the waste container and the cleaning screw is turning. Is there any other sensor that can produce this message?

I had a 453 do the same thing. The cover on the inboard end block of the transfer/separation assembly got caught in the drum gear. I removed the cover and the message went away. I'm assuming it caused a bind in the waste drive.

Both sensors can be check in I/O mode, have you verified they do indeed work? If so then the LGC board or the wiring for the sensor(s) would be my next T/S step. Emujo

What is the sensor other than the "toner waste full" sensor that I should be checking in I/O mode? BTW The "toner waste full" sensor is reporting the container is full in I/O mode even though it is a new container and sensor.

2 sensors...one in front looks "thru" waste bag, one in back actuated when either the waste bottle gets full and causes waste delivery auger to push back against rear of drum carriage, or auger gets bound in rear position from lack of maint. Both can be checked for LGC detection with I/O mode. 3rd sensor (flag actuated and mixed in with front level sensor) only detects waste bag in place. If the meassge will not clear with a new toner bag, tand all sensors check OK in i/o mode, then you can eliminate sensors, and wiring. Must be a problem with rear actuator or LGC bd is bad. Emujo

Thanks much. The rear sensor was dirty and since cleaning it, works perfectly with no more waste toner error. Problem solved!
