Re: Toner sensor disable for E-studio 181
the toner of the e181 has a chip which is recognized by the machine. you can see this at the rear side of the toner cartridge.
does this third party toner have this chip? if not, you can try transferring the chip or maybe play around with the region setting.Comment

Re: Toner sensor disable for E-studio 181
There's no info about it at Service handbook, but at series before 181 (163/166) we could do that through 08/695 code (from 1 to 0). Function of that code is:Checks whether the toner cartridge is inserted or not.
You can try it.Comment

Re: Toner sensor disable for E-studio 181
yes, 08-695 was removed after the e163/166. it does not work with e181. The chip for e181 limits the use of toners to Original toners only and for specific region. If your unit is Asia version, you cannot use toners purchased from european or USA market, if your unit is from USA, you cannot use toners from Asia etc.Comment

Re: Toner sensor disable for E-studio 181
sorry for question, but did you tried with that 08/695 code on e181 machine? Unfortunately I don't have machine to try. From time to time, Toshiba releases a new version of Service handbooks with new codes (hidden codes). In some European countries it's forbidden by law to push end user to buy just specially toners and cartridges from just one producer. So it must be somewhere...Comment
