    E650 Keep Warming Up

E650 keep showing warming up on screen, cannot enter Ready state...thus cannot copy.
But once you reformatted the HDD (08-690), after reboot machine, straightaway it can enter Ready state and start using...
I've changed HDD, Power Supply, Fuser Unit. Any ideas?

I am tired today after one of those days. Just to check. Your still getting this problem after all the parts have been replaced? But it works after formatting the hard drive?
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

Is the MFP running (drum/devloper station) when you are getting the warming up message? Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

Even if the copiers are different I had the same problem in several cases in models estudio 230/280 or higher.
All cases resolved with the database rebuild procedure.
        2 minutes of work

Yup, i've replaced the parts, once your reformat HDD, is ok. But after turn it off and on again, it will happen again intermittently.

By default, it should warm up for a short time, then enter ready state. But this machine keep showing warming up even u wait
for 5 mins or more...and it wouldn't allow u to copy...

R u suggesting me to do 08-684 to rebuild the database? But the code only valid for e230/280, this code not exist on this e650 model.

I plan to check below settings on my next visit to this machine:
          08-803 = 2

          08-839 = 0 (disable humidity sensor )

Might be worth checking that you are getting a stable power supply to the machine. Also you could try changing the memory on the system board. Might be worth a shot. Is this machine networked at all ? Only other thing I could think of is possibly the system board giving you trouble.
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

Machine is not networked...The power supply is ok, currently attached a e232 machine while the e650 down for repair...
I've checked the 08-803 = 2 & 08-839 = 0 codes, still the same, need to reformat HDD to get in READY state...
Going to change the SYS board...Btw, i just need to switch the NVRAM from old SYS board to new SYS board right? no need to do any settings? Because i've went through the service manual and handbook, it doesn't show any procedure on changing board...I think i need to order LGC board as well...

                Re: E650 Keep Warming Up

If you are only changing one board at a time you should be fine. Will need to change the chip over from old system to new then update the firmware. A es650 will draw a lot more power than a es232.

Was there any work carried out on the machine prior to this fault?

But it's a very old machine attached with finisher, meter reading reaching 4millions...

According to my understanding, update firmware need to use jig for this Amazon series...
I think i try to order an IH control board 1st before changing the SYS board...
