Try HDD format first.
If you replace the HDD you will definitely need the firmware (sorry can't help)
Appriciate the offer of a Private Massage but the wifes a bit funny about that.
You could try here http://www.justmanuals.com/ for the firmware, but its not free, how much are you willing to pay?

firmware cost + cost of new hard drive = more than the 3511 is worth.....

If you do format the HDD make sure you back up all the address book info before you do it and save yourself some time later.Comment
