Do a google search for SMB scanning with win7...it's a file and print sharing setting that is off by default in Win7..it could also be a firmware issue...one of the later versions addressed an issue with "Digitaly Signed Communications" that the Ebridge 2 series needed turned on to scan via SMB to newer OS's. If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.
If you are just scanning to the E600 file_share you can make a shortcut on the client desktop by right clicking on desktop and selecting new shortcut. In the box, type in the IP address of the E600 ie \\192.168.0.100\file_share. If you are scanning SMB to a Win 7 client you need to set up a shared folder to scan to and let the E600 login to the client and give the E600 full permission and full security control to folder. If you need more info I may be able to send you the instructions.
To be able to see the share file in win 7, go to top access then admin mode.there is an option there to turn off digital signing.you'll be able to see the fileshare after you do this
other way is using a program that you can find in the cd utilities called download files. it more simple and you do not need an enable dongle for scan, you can download the files directly your computer in pdf, or jpg. try this is very simple
