    Blue Background es2500c

    Hello

I have a strange blue back ground on an es2500c. I have seen this before and a calibration took care of it. The strange thing is prints are fine. I have a little background off the glass and a lot through the adf. I have updated the firmware cleaned the optics changed the scanner pwb and a few other things. Has anyone seen this and have any suggestions for me?

    Thank you in advance.

Sure have mate. There is a bulletin regarding this issue. can't remember the codes and I am at home now so I don't have any reference but, there are a few codes to adjust the scanner so it can no longer see the blueishness of the original paper.

If you have this problem then you will still see a nice white blanking edge on your output, as with most scanner faults.

From memory, the bulletin is a bit long winded and you need to make adjustment to such settings as ADF/platen scan/manual/auto/colour/B&W etc. The easiest way I found was to stick to one adjustment and get it spot on,, ie. ADF full colour, then use this as a reference to adjust the others.

Im off on holidays and won't be back online for a few days, but if you still need some info, I can get you the bulletins required next week sometime.

Im pretty sure this is the 1, it also fixes a pink background depending on the paper used
