The user/engineer manuals will have the relevant info in on media types which can go through the machine.
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

It is most likely supported in writing, in practice however, may be another story.

You need to first define what size of envelopes you are talking about.

If you are referring to North American # 10 Envelopes, they are not supported.

It is possible to create a custom paper size in the Print Driver to make #10 Envelopes work for small print runs of five or less. This will work semi OK and can vary greatly depending on the quality of the paper the envelope is made with. In other words, tell the customer envelopes will not work reliably in almost any brand of high speed copier.

You are much better off to suggest to the customer to get a low cost Laser Printer with a much simpler paper path for Envelopes. 55 cpm Colour copiers are optimized for speed, not envelopes.

Also it would be cheaper to print envelopes on a Laser printer than a copier. On a laser printer you only pay for the toner you use while on a copier each is envelope is one click charge.

On envelope sizes larger than #10, your chances get much better that the copier will be able to successfully feed the media.

On any envelope with a plastic window, do not even think about it.

On Toshiba copiers if you stick the envelope in the Bypass, the bypass feed screen appears, choose the "media type" button on screen, if envelopes is not listed in the media types then you are beat. Usually only lower speed machines are capable of envelopes
