I've tried the rerite 8 OCR software, found that under the batch process, i not able to put network address for the path. Below is the screenshot.

The version i work on is trial version...Not sure whether can put network path or not?

PS: able to access the path via windows

Might be a permissions problem, try sharing the folder with full control.

Try the folder with a folder or lookup rule and see if the path is available.
Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the restraints

You can't put in a network path in Rerite, it won't except it. In order to get around it, map the network path as a local drive on the machine Reirte is installed on and point to it instead. Same desired result. However if you are using Meta Scan coupled with Rerite you can specify network paths within the XML document you create for Meta Scan.

I've tried to map the folder as local network drive, but still same error when i point to it...I cant add users and it not working when i throw in pdf file in the folder...

My intention is to point to each users' folder, and i just add their name, select all the output format. Then depends on user need to output to which format they prefer just by throwing the file to respective folder.
If 10 users, i just need to create 10 batch rules....But this method seems not working...

Is there a reason you want to use batch scanning?

Multiple users will be using the single rerite software...some more need privacy...

I think of Email mode, after convert the file, email back to sender...but afraid if file size is large...

If use batch mode, i can create different users...but each users might have different output formats... some more the user folder is inside different output format folders, take times to share out the folder 1 by 1...
For example, if 1 user can output to all 24 formats, i need to share out all the 24 folders and map to user pc...it seems time consuming doing that...

Change the services so that they have Domain Admin login.

Most services when installed attatch themselves to the LocalSystemAccount which has locl access only. If you change the login to a Domain Admin, then you will have rights on the local server and on other networked devices within the domain.

              1. Start
              2. Run
              3. services.msc
              4. Find the Re-Rite services (all in the manual)
              5. Properties of service
              6. Log-on
              7. Change to Domain Admin

You will be required to restart the services after changing the login so that the login will then take effect.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
