    Help Needed with E-studio 310c

    hey guys,

    i recently purchased a toshibe e-studio 310c with X3e+ controller embedded.
I assumed it would be easy to connect it to the network (plug it in, connect to the IP etc etc) but it doesn't seem to be that simple.
The only thing i received with it was a CD with the driver files and a book on how to copy.

i was wondering how it is possible to find and configure the IP address or even get it working on the network.

Any help would be great. Thanks!

You just need to configure the Fiery Controllers Network settings to match your own network settings. Give it a unique IP, set the gateway to your server or Modem/Router and plug it in.

There may be other things the issue but you will have to give more details before I can think on it further.

the controller is internal - but my main problem is locating the control panel for the controller.

i have had no luck through the toshiba printer control panel accessing the configuration of the controller,
and ive heard of a seperate control panel for the controller (which i havent been able to find).

      any ideas?

      Thanks,
      again

Try lifting the cover on the left side of the unit near where the finisher attaches. It should have a green dot if there are no problems with the fiery.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

neither lights are on ... i think my best option is to pull the controller out and inspect it, something may have come loose.

i'll reply later on once ive checked it out.

            problem solved!

the memory unit had come loose, obviously from when it was transported down from Brisbane to here in melb.

Anyway, reconnected it, everything works fine!

thanks for your support guys, much appreciated
