They are ok. There is quite a few mods to make them much better. Check out Toshiba's bulletins.

Re: How does the estudio 355 rate against the estudio 353

The process unit is great but the fuser is terrible and the exit/duplex were pretty bad but i think the mods fix most of the problems. id still prefer a 282 or mash.

id still say i prefer a 355 over 353, im just sick of the 353 dev units.

Just a small thing, i find the es305 more reliable than the es355 because it doesn't have the standard offset that causes a bit of jamming

Any ideas where can I get hold of these bulletins? like is it published publicly or do I need to buy them? Or could you guys post the mods from the bulletins?

          Thanks a lot.

Been fixing the E455 E355 series since they came on the market. With 20+ years experience i can tell you the truth and be right. One of the worst models since 1998. Fusers are terrible, replaced many @ $800 dollars ..Duplex and exit assemblies are just as bad. There are so many mods for and twech bullitens for this copier, you could almost buy a new one once you do everything needed..Buy something else. P.S. When they not broken, they make good copies..

Have you noticed or found a fix for drums leaving background, replacing the drum fixes the problem but some are not even half way due?
