E3510C SMB Windows 7 permission trouble

I have a LAN that has 2 XP and a Windows 7 computer. I have a E3511 and a E3510C networked to print and scan. Both XP computers can print and scan. My windows 7 computer can see the 3510 SMB folder but says I don't have permission. It also sees the E3511 in the same workgroup and accesses it just fine for scanning file share. I set them up both the same. What permission does windows 7 want from the E3510? Anyone know?

How do I find out the firmware version. On what report is it listed?

If the version is listed on the config page it says T380SY0U314. That should work, no?

Web Interface - Administration - Setup - Version

That will tell you the current firmware version of the machine.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
