Toshiba e-Studio 4520C fax problem. Communication error

Hi everyone, I found this forum while searching for a solution to a fax problem I'm having. Users at the office keep getting intermitent Communications Error on our Toshiba MFP's. Problem is that every time I've tested the machines to see if there is anything wrong, my faxes go through fine even if it's to the same number that was receiving an error. I was wondering if anyone knows what the following codes mean on the Transmission journal. The following are 2 entries from the journal, which are the status codes that I see repeating.

    Mode G3 401 Status NG 00D2
    Mode blank Status NG 00B0

Any help would be greatly appreciate.

00D2 Poor image quality Quality of the received image is poor. Retry the transmission.
00B0 Initial signal not detected NSF/DIS cannot be detected. Check the receiver and attempt
    the transmission again.

Check if it is a dsl line and if so if they have a filter installed.
Turn the attenuation up for both send and receive.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

Assuming there is no DSL signal accross your fax line, try switching from a 2 pair phone cable to a 1 pair phone cable. This will help to eliminate mode 3 wiring faults.

After that, try turning off JBIG Compression and if there is still an issue, turn off v34.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
