    E-Studio 4511 problems

I'm stuck with a 4511 that has some problems that I can't figure out the reason for:

    - the transfer belt always shifts so that it contacts the plate in the frontside of the machine (worse on the cleaner side). I have adjusted the screw per the service manual but that doesn't help (this happens even if the screw is fully out of the hole). The machine had a torn up transfer belt when I got it so I'm afraid that this might happen again.

    - there is a constantly changing deviation in color prints, eg. the individual colors do not match. The deviation changes through the print so the color deviation settings do not help. I've checked the drive belts and they do not look damaged and are quite tightly tensioned.

Also the HDD of the machine sounds quite old so it might break soon. I was unable to clone the disk in a PC so could anyone point me to the firmware files needed to restore the HDD should it break? My e-mail address is mattik1982@gmail.com if someone can email them to me.

Thanks in advance for any help.

With the colour deviation, did you go as far as actually taking the main drive belt completely out and inspecting it?

Sometimes they can look fine from the outside when in fact they actually aren't.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

I installed the transfer belt spring and drive belt/pulley kits from Toshiba and the machine now seems to keep the transfer belt correctly aligned.

However the color deviation problem still persists. The old drive belts and pulleys looked ok but I still changed them to the new ones while I had the machine apart. The deviation (misregistration?) is still there, changing througout the sheet so that in some parts of the page it matches perfectly and in some parts it is about 0,5mm.

I failed to find any advice in the service manual or anywhere else as to how tight should the drive belts be? Should I tighten them to the positions the springs pull them?

          Black and White deviation?
          Color Deviation?
          Which color/s are off?
Use magenta as your standard when comparing.
I'll pm you some other information.

PS, did you put in a new cleaning blade and foam seals?

The problem affects all color in relation to others. The 05-417 adjustments do not help because the deviation and the colors affected change throughout the page (some parts are perfect while in some parts the colors don't match). I have previously changed the drum, drum cleaning blade, transfer belt, belt cleaning blade and the seals (the machine had a torn up transfer belt stuck inside it).
