Sorting Templates into A-Z on panel

    Hi Everyone

Been browsing this site for a few years now and it is a great resource of information on the MFPs I run into on a daily basis.

I finally had an end-user ask a question that I could not find in any manuals or Internet searching.

They use a Toshiba e-Studio 2040c and have a bunch of templates setup for scanning. They have asked if it is possible to switch the way the templates are sorted on the touch screen. It looks like the default is to sort by the registration number, but would like it sorted A-Z for easier use.

My searches have come up dry, so I figured I would reach out the the community for the first time!!

If any knows how to do this, it would be greatly appreciated!!

As far as I know, there is no way to sort the templates. They are only listed by number of template.
Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?

An e2040c uses eBridgeX Operating System. Templates can be stored as either a CSV file or an XML file. It might be possible to export a CSV file into an excel spreadsheet and sort them there but I have not tried this. You would have to test it.

Also, if you have individual templates within Template Groups, this would further complicate things.

This service the customer is requesting borders on Professional Services. It can all be done if the customer is willing to pay you approx $95.00 per hour to manually reconstruct the templates. I suspect the customer will quickly become less demanding of these changes.

        Thanks for the info!!

I'm pretty sure they won't go for the extra cost on this since it is in a temporary work trailer in the middle of nowhere... good to know anyway though!!
