    Toshiba E-Studio 3511

We have a Toshiba E-Studio 3511. It has recently been throwing up an error called "CF40".

The service manual says it is "Light amount correction voltage abnormality".

What does that mean? Is this an electrical problem? Is it easily troubleshot?

    Look at the developer.
Any of the colors look washed out?

Where is the developer? is it near the fuser?

No color issues that I have noticed.

Wish I could! Doubt my boss would be alright with that cost. My supervisor certainly isn't.

I've got to figure this all out on my own.

Either way its going to cost, those machines aren't cheap to keep alive, better to have a trained eye on it, just sayin.

Oh trust me, you're preaching to the choir.

I can do simple fixes on these units, basic testing, but I've been expected to take one entirely apart to attempt to remove a part (I failed).

I'm running some of the tests out of the service manual.

I am installing the transfer belt. My question is do the transfer cleaning unit and transfer belt connect? I see a hole in the cleaning unit and a metal in the transfer belt but do not know if they should make contact. If they do, then I can not get the two screws to align, it they do not I am afraid the belt will rip again. Any help? Please!

wow what kind of company do you work for? There are probably some better opportunities out there for you for employment, not too many newbies are comfortable ripping apart a copier why not look into becoming a copier tech.

We have a toshiba estudio 3511. Just replaced the transfer belt, cleaning blade. But it keeps having paper jams. It starts make a few copies about 10 or so, then it jams at the same spot. Its where the paper starts to go up the front of the transfer belt. Barely touching when it wrinkles up. Any Suggestions?
Also it s the second transfer belt in a month. They get ripped. Is there something I am not installing correct? Any help would be appreciated.
I alrealy have the service manual.
