What you will need is an ATA Adapter which changes the analouge signal from the machine in to VIOP data.
We have this setup here in our office, but the problem is the the CISCO gear is extremely picky. The firmware has to be kept the same accross all our phones, ATA adapters and the call manager software needs to be kept at the version which is compatible with the associated firmware.
The Fax Number gets assigned to the ATA adapter so that faxes are sent and received from the correct number.
Just be careful on the setup you use. We have all our equipment set up for SIP which our carrier doesn't support, therefore we have issues from time to time with the fax communications.Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
