    [Misc] Toshiba estudio 166 USB port not working

    Hello I have toshiba estudio 166 I could print from PC with it before.
    Now it looks like the USB port is dead, I connect it PC and nothing happens
    The PC is ok because I can use it to print with other machines PC USB port is ok also USB cable is fine
    I can make photocopies every thing seems to be OK no error codes.

      What OP are you using? Have found some issues with Win7 lately.

          I`m using windows XP SP3
          I don`t think that is something wrong with PC but with the printer board of the copier

              Dear Friend!
              Have you try to use another computer to check your ES166?
              Toshiba copy machine ES 166, you use USB to connect to print, but the real is COM port inside the machine.

                  He's right about this most likely being a comm port error. Not a great deal of fun to try and fix.

                      Try uninstall the viewer driver and usb com port driver, and do a fresh installation...

                      But i did encountered dead USB port MAINBOARD...

                          I fixed it replaced the main board of the copier and every thing is fine
                          it was USB port fault
