    Toshiba Copiers and Counters

    Hello all,
Have anyone noticed that Toshiba copiers (estudio 163, 205,) total counter increments even when a jam occur. I have posted this sometime ago and I have not been able to find solution. In all other copier brands I have worked on the counter increments only when a copy or print is delivered. It does not increment even if the jam is at the fuser. To make matter worse there is no counter for jams. Pls is there a way to make the copier counter increment only for delivered copies only?

From what i know, the e163-e166 starts counting from the moment the registration sensor is ON. That i read in the service manual. However, there are a number of codes that refer to "output pages". My guess is that you can't disable how the copier increments it's total counter, but it might help you keep track of the delivered copies/prints. Check the service manual for a detalied list of what each of the codes below do.

    Counter
[Scanning pages in copier] 312-0 to 16, 327-0 to 2
    [Scanning pages in scanning]
    313-0 to 16, 329-0 to 2
    [Double count] 345, 346, 347, 348, 349, 352, 353
    [Total Counter copy] 388, 389
[Total number of pages] 335-0 to 2
    [Toner cartridge] 1410
[Scanning pages in FAX] 314-0 to 16, 328-0 to 2
    [Transmitted/Received
    pages in FAX]
    315-0 to 16, 316-0 to 16, 330-0 to 2, 332-0 to 2
    [Number of output pages] 305-0 to 16, 306-0 to 16, 307-0 to 16, 308-0 to 16,
