I believe he's talking that his machine has message "Please wait, adding toner"
First I would check if you have clean path on toner cartridge. People sometimes forget to remove protective film off from the toner cartridge.
Second I can remember that had problem with faulty toner sensor.
Like bojans said, check the cartridge first for any forgotten protective tapes. In the back of the cartridge there is this small gear. It happened to me in the past that the gear either popped out entirely or just a bit but enough to not activate the adding toner mechanism in the cartridge. If all this is ok, move to the imaging unit. Check all gears, make sure there aren't some hard pieces of toner somewhere along the path that block the adding of new toner, clean the residual toner under the cleaning blade. If you checked all this and it's ok, try ading toner manually to the developer station. If the message dissapears, then the toner from the cartridge somehow doesn't reach the developer station. Btw, did you check for any spilled toner around the imaging unit?
It's a known fact that toshiba is very chosy in regards of the toner. I'm not even willing to experiment with other brands except katun and genuine toshiba. Just curious : what kind of toner did you used?
