Hi all,
I'm stumped with a 3500c Toshiba that has a fatal problem.
It starts and goes through it's setup cycles but I get nothing from the control panel.
It displays an image of the copier but that's all - I can't get diagnostics up or any error codes.
All keys and combinations are unresponsive.
I've checked the power supply and all voltages read normal with reference to the manual.
The hard drive sounds bad as it seems not to run at a constant speed.
There is nothing in the service manual to troubleshoot without access to error codes or test codes.
I'm not able to swap out with known good boards as I have none available so where to from here?
Does anyone have any ideas about a likely source for this type of failure?
I have read on some other posts in this section that it may be a HDD failure.
If that's the case then I could replace it but then it comes down to firmware which I have not!
I might add that this is a love job.
The machine belongs to a friend who is not exactly flush with cash.
I'm just trying to help him out here.
If anyone has access to firmware for this machine it would be greatly appreciated.
Any older versions would, I suspect, be fine.
But first things first, does it sound like a HDD fail or something other?
I know very little about Toshies.
Any input would be very much appreciated.
Cheers
