Check the logs either in the machine or through Top Access there will be a error code that can further help troubleshooting this problem.

Gmail requires ssl over smtp, and uses port 465 (default I think).

          SMTP.GMAIL.COM
          SSL over TLS port 465
          account name and password

IF the above settings don't work, try to telnet port 465 to ensure customer isn't blocking anything. Emujo

Incoming Mail (POP3) Server - requires SSL: pop.gmail.com
            Use SSL: Yes
            Port: 995
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS2 or SSL: smtp.gmail.com
            Use Authentication: Yes
            Port for TLS/STARTTLS: 587
            Port for SSL: 465

I tried both setting above and I am still getting the "Failed to send email" message when I try to scan to email. What other settings should I try??

              Thanks

In Top Access under the email Tab, under from Address, have you entered the authenticated Gmail address that you created in your first thread?

Under your credentials, how your entered a Password?

For Primary DNS Server address, did you try 8.8.8.8 ?

Is your copier at V355 firmware?

Did you atempt to telnet the gmail server...many IT reps will block the required ports to prevent hackers. emujo

Could you please go to the machine and press the following keys:

                        1. Job Status
                        2. Log
                        3. Scan

You should now see an error code against the attempted scans, so can you please tell us what that error code is?
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
