    Toshiba e163-e207 refill?

Hi guys. I have a question and i need your opinion. I'm thinking to try to refill some T-1640 toners. I tried it in the past and it worked pretty well, despite what all of my coleagues said that oem is the only way to go. I'm trying to make an opinion based on what other fellow technicians have experienced in regards to refilling the T-1640. So, feel free to post your thoughts on this matter. PS : i know nothing matches the OEM, but i'm trying to figure if there's a way that with the refill, quality can be kept high and the problems with the machines as few and simple as possible.

You might somehow get lucky and get this to work but you will be constantly plagued with Service calls. It just is not worth the effort to save a very few $.

I worked for a Canon dealer and after using Katun for many years, a new service manager started and he declared that we would be using only OEM toner and consumables and it was amazing how well the machines started working, fusers were lasting much longer, copy quality was improved and there were much less service calls, but after a bad year he went back to Katun and calls skyrocketed, copy quality fell and I moved on, you can crunch all the numbers you want but stay with OEM toner and parts, you don't save any money in the long run with jobber and will loose customers.

I agree with SSG and Mr Fixit, after a while you will realise what the problems are caused by when the Service Calls escalate.
