When I attach the finisher to this unit I get a c 530 error and says to reboot the machine . I cant find this error code in the manual does anyone know what this means and what the fix is for this ?

That's weird does the machine have the correct IPC board installed, also check 08-1912 and make sure it's set properly for the finisher installed, other than that make sure FW is updated on the machine/finisher I thought I had seen a way to update the FW on the IPC board as well but can't find it now so maybe I'm imagining things. -

Hello, the error code you are referring to is most likely a C580, this is a mis- communication between the finisher and IPC board.
What you have is the wrong finisher trying to mate up with the wrong IPC board, there are 2 different IPC boards for these machines based on which finisher is to be used, so the finishers are not a general plug in and go.
The MJ-1101 uses one ipc pwb, the MJ-1023/1024's uses another ipc pwb.
You will also have to go into 08-1912 as mentioned and tell the machine which finisher it has on it.
Also if you have plugged and played without the correct IPC board or settings, you will be required to do a 08-690 most likely to re-format the HDD, then it will work OK again.Comment
