          GL1020

Check power source, power is on the 550 for the GL, the software for the GL is 500mb if you find the download. There are to CD's, one for format and the other for firmware.

When the copier is turned on it sends a boot command to the gl1010. If the copier is turned on when the gl1010 is already booted or is the process of booting this command "reboots" the controller. It can take up to 15 minutes (I have heard 30 minutes) to fully boot after the copier is up and running.
You can also check the main connection between the copier and the gl1010 and reseat the gl1010 and that may help. If not then you may need to either reload the software (650 meg iso file to make a cd) or a new hard drive (which will also require the software). There are 2 cd's one is to repartition and format the drive and the other reloads the software.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!
