Good afternoon all,
I have a 3510c that is having problems feeding paper through the RADF.
The pickup roller lowers and appears to move the paper fine, but when it hits the separation rollers, it doesn't always go any further - hence the E712 error. If I copy about 50 pages, I might get this problem every 10-15 pages.
I have checked the registration sensor, and it appears working, the paper just never reaches it.
I have tried changing 05-354 from min to max and nothing seem to stop this behaviour.
The weird thing is, if when the RADF door is open and I manually rotate the separation rollers (I grab the pulley that the belt is attached to on pickup roller and gently rotate) without touching the paper, the paper will go through, so the paper seems to be in the right position.
The other weird thing is, if I do the standard jam fix; open RADF door, clear jam, close door and start copy again, it will 99/100 times jam straight away again - but if when the door is open, I rotate the separation rollers, like I detailed above it will not jam and take paper normally for a little while until the next error.
So I was wondering if anybody is familiar with this type of error, or can suggest which roller I need to change, or if there is something else I need to fix!
Thanks,
Sam
edit: I'm pretty sure it's a MR-3018
