I have a copy of UK VERSION 350/450 firmware here if you would like it. 35 meg in size, best way to send would be Via msn messenger or skype. I am a Toshiba agent so should be able to get the US version for you

With F100 errors, you can sometimes recover from them using an 08 code that rebuilds the database on the HDD.

Look for it in the service manual and you might be able to get your old HDD going again. It won't help with not having firmware though.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

Once you replace the drive, it must be partioned, formatted and firmware reloaded. There is no (authorized Toshiba) way around this. Firmware is propriatary info and is not accessable by non Toshiba techs. As it is a large file, standard email will not work. Someone would have to be willing to "usend" or post it on an FTP server ect for you to get it. Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

The machine won't Partition and Format the HDD automatically, these need to be done through Assist Mode and 08 mode respectively.
