    [Misc] Please Wait

I have a e-studio 3530 c, and got s a bit of a strange problem, cust said slow to print, well get out to machine, ansd its also slow to copy, check firmware and drivers both, update the firmware to newest, leave copy of drivers for there IT person, he was not there, and they have a server and a contract with him, no toe stepping here, after all that get thermistors and thermostats and replace them all, it has soolved problems like this before on other color s-studios for us, and it did for a while, presure roller t-stat tripped, replaced it, rechecked others and lamps as well, and for whom ever designed this fuser unit, thermistor acess, SUCKS.
After replacing the blown t-stat, it still will take a while, start a copy job, 10 pages, it gets to about page 6 or 7 and says please wait, goes for about a min, then will finish the job, rechecked lamps, t-stats, re-formatted HDD, cleared jopb logs in top acess.
Oh yes almost forgot, checked 08-400...no codes at all

    Any Ideas????
    Thanks

    Re: Please Wait

I've only seen that when there was something between the thermopiles and the fuser, like a piece of paper. Machine is pausing to get back to temp. You might want to look at the thermopiles since you eliminated the thermistors in the the fuser. Remember, these are on the machine, not the fuser.

Also, i've found that the Memory Sticks on the sys brd can have dirty/bad connection to brd.Can cause ppr jams, slow operation, etc. Take out memory sticks and cln connector edge with pencil type eraser then alcohol. I know of at least 4 machines that this procedure has taken care of issues.

Sounds like you looked at the majority of the issues. I have also seen this happen when the machine tends to calibrate the colors. You might want to check that the lens or slip glass for each color is cleaned. (Sounds like its trying to calibrate. Just a thought.) Or possibly paper stuck inside the fuser unit.

Just wanted to let ya'll know, it was them thermopiles, I wiped them off, with my finger , and it started to work properly after that, I did replace them both to be safe, not taking a chance here, I had forgotten about them being seperate from the unit, unlike the bigger units that are in the fuser, again, thanks.
