This Toshiba has morning sickness. Every morning it jams the first copy in the fuser area when feeding letter from the upper paper tray. It's fine for the rest of the day. Until the next morning, it jams the first copy. So I changed the letter paper to the bottom tray and now it wrinkles the first copy in the morning. Then fine the rest of the day. That went on for two months. Now it has started jamming the first copy from the bottom tray also. It appears to me to be an overfeed problem, but from what? The registration of the jammed or wrinkled prints are fine. Somewhere between the registration rollers and the fuser the paper is not going through the fuser fast enough. I tried a new fuser assy. Same result. It is so hard to troubleshoot because it only happens once each day in the morning. Any ideas where to start?

On some of the Toshibas I have had to adjust the exit motor speed. You've got nothing to lose by giving it a try I suppose. -

This is a pretty old box...I would start with paper feed and transport clutches...also a detailed look at the registration actuators (nicks and cuts) and thorough cleaning of their associated sensors might be in order...The verticle feed roller might be getting a little thin...EmujoIf you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.Comment
