    Toshiba e studio 353

I have toshiba e studio 353 and it uses a lot of toner, toner for 21.000, ends in 4000. On copy there are two vertical lines on begining and on end of page. I tried auto toner set up, and it clears lines for a few copies, but after 5-10 copies lines are back.
Changed OPC Drum, cleaning blade, developer etc...

All sugestions are welcome, this machine is killing me.

If its eating toner, when was the last time the developer was changed.
Also have you checked to make sure the front bushons/seals on the dev unit are not worn and leaking.
And finally have you made sure the toner is going into the dev tank and not on the machine.
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

Did you reset pm counters when you changed the parts? check the ground strap under the dev unit?
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

I watched for sleves on magnetic roller, and one of them (one deeper in the machine) looks very bad, its hard to rotate it. could it be the cause of those lines?

Im not sure what you mean by ground strap. (sorry for my english)
Ill check when the developer was changed...and try to change it again...damn.

there is a leaf plate which sites in the machine and comes into contact with the dev unit as it is locked/screwed into the machine. Might as well check the leaf plate on the front of the dev unit which contacts the mag roller to. Is there a lot of toner under the dev unit (inside the machine)?

Not stealing your thunder Mr Spock (red lines when no capital in spock - awesome) just explaining it a little further.

the $12-13 or so it costs for a manual for this machine would more than make up for the time spent back and forth for our replies. Are you an end user which pays for toner cartridges or a company which supplies them to the customer?
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

You might try checking the doctor blade. The brush on the mag roller maybe too thick. I have had to adjust this on these models before. I also had two vertical lines on a couple of them. After adjustment the brush was not as thick and it didn't go through developer material or toner before it was expected to. Hope this helps it took care of my problems.
