I have a toshiba e estudio 555 that every now and then tells the customer to reboot the machine, I ran the error log to see if any codes where associated with the problem (none), ran the test on the HDD and it all came back good. has anyone seen this problem?

Just on the off chance i would update the firmware on the machine, worst case could be a new hard drive...possibly. Just as you have no info, hard to give any advice (my advice is usually as useful as a banana shaped screwdriver anyway)It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.Comment

Does the "Reboot Machine" message come up after a print job has been sent to it?
I have seen this before and it was a mismatch between the print driver and the firmware. Make sure both are up to date.Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.Comment

check error history list, after You update FW, you can download latest drive at Drivers | Support | Toshiba Copiers.
