281c Need to Reset Network & Firmware Upgrade

    Hi,

We have a Toshiba 281c and at some stage an incorrect domain network setting was entered in via the Web Admin.

This was probably just a type but now the machine gives a error on the front panel about incorrect network settings.

The problem is that when I try to browse and enter the web admin to make the change it gives an error. The web server is setup but it seems that the incorrect domain settings has cuased something in the Web UI to stop working.

In IE it just continue to try and load the page while Firefox gives an error "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete."

The thing is that there is no domain configuration via the control panel on the physical unit.

Is there a way I can rest the unit and the network settings so I can once again get access to the web admin.

Also, we've had some issues with a client on Vista and the website tells us that to use the most recent drivers we need to upgrade the firmware - can someone please point me to the place where I can get the latest firmware and if there is some instructions on how to upgrade it (I don't really want to pay a tech for an expensive service call if I can just do it myself).

    Thanks.

Edit: after a quick search it seems these firmware files are quite large - in that case I can provide FTP/remote upload site to send me the firmware if you have it.

yeah just go to user function, admin, type the password by default it should be 123456 -- then go to network, and change the IP address and whatever network settings you need to make. if after the change you can't still log in from any web browser, go back to the machine and make sure that http is enabled, and that it is using port 80 or 8080

for the firmware you need to go to toshibas website, fyi.toshiba.com but you need to authenticate with them. I don't have a user name and password.
have you tried downloading the later driver from toshibas website???

      hope that helped,
