    e255SE Jamming from 2nd cassette

    I have an e255SE with 380k on it. The copier works A-OK except that paper both constantly jams and wrinkles from the 2nd paper tray. We have removed the Paper drive unit and replaced all of the rollers. Everything looks good inside. The Paper drawer has Letter paper loaded in it and the LCD control panel displays letter size paper. The firmware has been updated to V330.

    Any ideas?

      The previous models needed actuators and guides replacing (quite a few) after so many copies. We used to do them every other service or before the 300k mark. Had one the other day with 138k on which needed them all as they were using 100gsm paper (A4-R) and it had worn them down extra quick.

      What paper size are you using through the second cassette?
      It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

          Currently set for Letter. I tried Letter-R and Legal and they both jammed just as much.

              Might be worth looking at the guides and actuators. Have you tried the cassette alignment and swapping feed units?
              It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

                  I do not currently have a used unit in stock to swap out these parts but I will put a look out for them. Thanks!

                      when you open the side (duplex unit) is the strap still on
