    e3555c Bypass issues

We've started selling the e3555c series machines and one of our customers is using the bypass to print on some Staples/Business Depot brand 65lb card stock. It's nothing special, no weird perforations or creases. But the by-pass will not pick the stuff up. It will do some, and then start slipping. I tried both portrait and landscape orientation, no difference. I've since put it in one of the drawers and so far they haven't called about that jamming. Has anyone else had problems with paper feeding from the bypass on this series? The bypass assembly on these seems a lot cheaper then on the e3540c series and I'm worried we might have more of these issues down the line.
Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?
