e studio 256 not recognizing toner

We have an estudio 256 that says it doesn't recognize toner, but if you go and check the toner level it says full. we have updated the firmware and now are at a total loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Have you tried a different toner cartridge? Genuine Toshiba toner?

I have also got a machine saying that and we are using original toner but the machine still copies. anyone with answers

There is a little board in the back frame of machine with little springs on it one screw removes it and one connector take it out and blow it out with air and put a little stretch to the spring also you might want to clean the contacts where the springs meet the board with some alcohol then reassemble it should work after you do that 255/355/455 were also known for this problem

you can do 08>499 or by directing the switch of cartridge

Thanks for that i will try that today, when you say directing the switch of cartridge what do you mean

we actually had a toshiba tech come out, he worked on it for 2 days. right before he left he said "I'm gonna have to get you guys a new one".

so i never found a fix except for replacing it all together.....
