I have a customer who want's to copy (in black and white mode) from dark green originals, but have the copy come out as a black and white copy with no background, is there a simple setting somewhere that will allow the print to be copied without the original's color being copied as well?

Game manufacturer's used to print with black type on brown paper to prevent you from copying their docs. I don't think there is a way to bypass this.

Thanks for the reply, I know the Intravia's used to use the dark colors to deter techs from copying from the manuals, but even with the analog machines they had auto exposure to compensate for original backgrounds. I am surprised in the day and age of whistles and buzzers, copiers aren't capable of only reproducing the black print on an original.Comment

You could try adjusting the cq settings for this one print job but would knock a lot of other cq out in the process. There are a lot of adjustments to in the manual. What have you tired so far? I had a similar problem but with a blue background. It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.Comment
