    Toshiba 2500c Firmware install problems

    Hi,
I have had to replace the hard drive in our E-Studio 2500c copier which i have done fine, but when coming to install the firmware back on it i selected all options, O/S , HDD sys and another option for the scanner which i cant remember.
All the updates went through apart from the HDD sys which said failed.
I rebooted but it wouldn't load the operating system, it just said hdd sys update failed.

I then tried re initializing the partition again and reloading the firmware but everytime it tries to do it now it comes up with "Inflate Error, please change USB storage or please check ROMDATA"

I am now going round in circles and whatever i do i cant get the firmware back on , as soon as it unpacks i always get this message, i am guessing it has got something to do with the failed update of the HDD sys.

Is there anything i can do to get the firmware O/S back on this machine please?

    Help

    Thanks

    Darrel

try 3/C delete and format a partition, then reset NVRAM flags, install the original f/w version then work your way up to the latest in steps EMujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

      Hi,
Thanks for the reply, i have tried all that but i still get the same error.
It reads all the firmware from my memory stick but soon as it flashes up data check it comes up with the error "Inflate Error, please change USB storage or please check ROMDATA"

I have tried a different usb stick and also a fresh copy of the firmware in case some of the files were corrupt but no joy.
      Even tried another hard drive.

      Any other suggestions please?

      Thanks

There was a bad image of firmware on Toshiba's website. Try a different version. And if the HDD is the wrong size it will throw that error.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

          Hi,
I think it might be something to do with my USB memory stick, as i tried a different one and it got a bit further before locking up on a menu.

Can only 256mb or 512mb memory sticks be used? the smallest i have got is 1gb and this is the one that gets a bit further before giving an error.
Are there any recommended sticks to use?

          Cheers

Maybe you have forgotten to format the usb (if you have to on this model?)
