Toshiba e studio 4520c fax problem

Hi,

i have a toshiba e studio 4520c that sends out faxes ok but when it wants to try receive a fax it will display off hook transmit under the fax option and won't receive automatically or even manually I've changed the fax kit still the same any ideas please???

Have you tried ringing the fax number from your phone, it may be a line issue.

I would go one further than sdrawkcab and pull the fax line out of the machine and then ring the fax number from your phone.

There could be something else there that is picking up the call.

Either that or the machine has been set to manual receive instead of auto receive / memory RX.
