Good afternoon fellow Tech's. I have an issue with a Toshiba 3500c. Customer just got the machine used from another business. Was working fine for the first 2 weeks then they got there first jam on the right side of the machine. They opened up the duplex then the next door with the 2nd bias roller and registration to clear. They cleared the jam and after that they were getting CECO error code. Long story short I went out and found that the wires that go to the quality control sensor on the right door was broken off and some (A Previous Tech) used black tape to put them back together instead of replacing wire harness to sensor. So I reconnected wires temporary but now the control panel freezes on start up and says warming up. I did clear 3 number 1 and 3 and formatted hard drive still no go. I then did clear 3 number 2 and reloaded firmware and it took the firmware with no problems but problem still exists. Any help would be greatly appreciated and also it says duplex open. Could it be the wires shorted out one of the boards like the main board any suggestions greatly appreciated. Mind you I can get into service mode or even maintenance mode with not problems control panel works just fine. And yes I have the service manual, service handbook, and firmware. lol

CEC0 is a failure of the One Way Clutch/Gear which engages/disengages the 2nd T/fer Roller.Comment

Re: Toshiba 3500C CECO Error Frimware update done
That is correct but when I found the broken wires leading up to the right door I that somebody put black tape on it I put it back together but now I just get a frozen touch panel screen when I boot up. But in service mode the panel works just fine or even in maintenance mode the panel operates just fine. Its only when I boot up normally I don't even get the ceco error just a frozen screen. Thanks for the input.

Try reloading the firmware for the Sys bd. You may have a bad Sys bd. Check also HDD connections. Check voltages from PS going into the Sys bd
