    Toshiba eStudio 233 doesnot shutdown

    Hi,
I have a Toshiba eStudio 233. Since a month ago I got this problem that when I shutdown through the shutdown procedure, the machine doesnot switch off. It (shutdown in progress) remains. So I have to switch off manually. In the user manual it says not to switch off manually but to follow the shutdown procedure. Anyway I came to know that this problem will be ok if the machine is restarted. But I dont know how to restart it. If anybody know the restart procedure, I will be much obliged if you could tell me. Thank you very much.
    Lal.

    1. Check if shout down procedure works with network cable unplugged. If No
    2. Format HDD, check for bad sectors, change HDD and upgrade firmware. If doesnt help
    3. Check/replace PSU.

I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.

Hi, Thank you very much for the advice. I did format HDD, upgraded firmware and reseted the machine by a qualified technician. And now it shuts down.
But now when I switch on the machine the purple screen remains about 20 minutes, and then comes to the "warming up please wait" screen. and about 6 seconds it comes to the "Ready" mode. Need help.

Check fuser thermistors - clean/replace. Check all of the connectors on both PCBs - Sys and Logic - unplug and plug.
