E studio 600 going through developer too fast

Just thought I would toss this up for some advice, we have this E600 with about 2 million copies on it that really eats up dev quickly, the most copies we've gotten out of It in the last year without a dev change is about 200k , although the last one only lasted a week or so. It seems like its adding toner ok, over the last year complete dev assy has been changed more than once , complete process unit, drum potential sensor, complete hopper assy and toner recycle assy as well. The transfer belt cleaner assy seems to be overloading with waste toner as well . Last week one of the techs was there copies were super light, tried adding toner in service mode made no difference, so he installed a dev assy from a machine here in the shop. We put that depleated dev assy back in the parts donor and as soon as it was powered up it added toner (several times) until it was happy and the copies were fine. So it appears like the customers machine is not adding toner?? Firmware is up to date, before we look at boards is there anything obvious we are missing here lol?

You don't mention it, so I'll ask...Are you following the procedures in the SH for developer replacement...05/200 and 290, resetting the counts and so on? If not, I would not expect to get the full 400K. Also, are you depleting developer, or is it just wearing out, and are you using aftermarket toner? Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

Same procedures as in the SH , we have quite a few in the fireld still but this is the problem child lol. Its got aftermarket toner but we have tried genuine too, no difference. None of the rest of the fleet that all use the aftermarket toner are giving us any problems. In fact on some of the higher volume accounts we get beyond the pm values for dev life. It seems like its depleting it as compared to wearing it out....

So developer goes somewhere. Check printouts, inside of the machine and toner bag - where goes developer? Check HVT - main charger, BIAS... When developer is changed You must change all of the consumable parts in cleaning, main charger, transfer, developer sections (check service handbook for complete list). Use original toner all the time till the end of life of developer. Did You ever change seals in developer section (ESPOS page43 items34 and 35)?

        BR
I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.
