    Toshiba e-Studio 2040c User Authentication password reset

    Hi all,

    i have a Toshiba e-Studio 2040c asking to input User Authentication password I tried holding down 4,8,9 and power on to wipe it clean but didn't work, any idea on how to reset it thanks.

    It seems that user management is enable. U need to login MFP Top Access using admin password and disable it.

      The previous models such as the 2330C,3520C ect. You can go into service mode 08 then 690 would format the HDD. What code is it in these models to format tge HDD??? Thanks for your help.

        They don't have that code in the e-Bridge X series of machines anymore. There is a format option in the 3+Clear menu, but it will completely format the HDD and you'll have to reload the f/w. Instead of 08-690 I now use the "Factory Default" button under User Functions-Admin, that wipes all customer settings.
        Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?

          The problem with the User Authentication on the screen it won't let you enter User Functions at all

            Have you tried hitting the Counter button, going to Dept. Management, and disabling Dept. Management? It will ask for admin password, default is: 123456.

              Yes i tried that but it won't go through, it's still stuck on the User Authentication and Password screen. It want them input
